Tributes poured on Friday as the remains of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was laid to rest at his home in Umuanukam, Otolo Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The funeral service which took place at St. Peter’s Claver Catholic Church, was presided by Peter Cardinal Okpaleke.
Cardinal Okpaleke and several speakers at the event praised Ubah’s philanthropic efforts and dedication to serving humanity, urging others to follow his example.
Prominent Nigerians at the event include Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, Labour Party candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Mr. Peter Obi, Senator Tony Nwoye, Senator Uche Ekwunife, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Senator Osita Izunaso, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, Senator Victor Umeh, among several others.
Senator Ubah who represented Anambra South in the Senate, died suddenly in London on July 27, 2024. He was aged 52 years.
